Our Story
Sea Witch Collectables was born out of events triggered by the 2020 global pandemic and the impact they had on the owner's personal employment course.
It can be said that "the fiercest storms will prove the weight of our anchors".
Thus, in August 2020 in response to shifting career waters, Ms. Laybolt applied her affinity for the ocean, natural artistic ability and immense creativity to open Sea Witch Collectables, a unique Seaside Shop along the South Shore of Nova Scotia. In September 2022, a move from the South Shore meant leaving the retail space behind. Sea Witch Collectables successfully transformed it's business model from a retail storefront by harnessing the power of various social media networking and marketing opportunities in addition to launching this website (Seawitchcollectables.com).
In addition to digital marketing, prospective clients continued to be able to catch up with the Artist at selected Artisan markets/shows throughout Atlantic Canada for 2026. Spring/summer will bring fresh creative ideas and a new look for the website with new features that eventually will include an Artists blog.
